After an eventful year at Training Level, during which Virginian Sky won the prestigious Blue Ribbon award for placing 1st-3rd more than three times during the season, Sky will be starting the 2012 competition year at Preliminary Level eventing. In 2011, Sky was also successfully competing at Second Level dressage and Natalie plans to show him Third Level in the coming year. In the near future, Virginian Sky will be presented to the American Trakehner Association for stallion approval. He is registered Trakehner with the German Verband and he is already a licensed breeding stallion with the ZSAA (Breeding Association for Sport Horses of Arabian Descent).
He has all the desirable qualities for an upper-level sport horse: incredibly athletic and versatile. But above all he has an impeccable temperament that allows for trainability and rideability. Virginian Sky brings blood that is not easily found in this country. He offers a rare opportunity to breed for both dressage and eventing while infusing blood into a breeding program.

Sire: Best Before Midnight
Best Before Midnight was first approved by the Oldenburg Verband and passed an excellent 100-day test before he was presented and subsequently accepted by the Trakehner Verband in Leverkusen 2002. The stallion, who has extraordinary talents as a show jumper, ended up as the Young Rider mount for the daughter of his breeders, is showing at PSG level now, and won two Regional Dressage Champion titles with his young rider. Best Before Midnight is a son of the outstanding sport hores sire Sir Shostakovich xx, who is especially famous for producing four-star level eventers. The dam line of Bergkette is one of the top jumper lines of the Trakehner breed and with the outstanding Shagya Arabian Baja in this line-up, this pedigree is not only a great source of outcross bloodlines, but proven in competition to the upper levels in show jumping and eventing.
